The uptream traffic payload measured in bytes. This counts the number of bytes received within AAL5 frames, excluding the 6 bytes overhead added by AAL5 itself. The counter is stored in remotestorage and will survive a restart.

What is upstreamByteCount?

This counter measures the total payload bytes received in the upstream direction on a DSL line, excluding AAL5 framing overhead. It tracks actual customer data bytes flowing from the subscriber toward the network. Service providers use this metric to monitor upstream traffic volumes for billing, SLA verification, and congestion analysis.
