What is tsnLocalSwitchPkts?
This counter measures Ethernet packets that originate from one subscriber but are switched locally to other subscribers on the same IPDSLAM device without leaving the system. Operators use this to understand subscriber-to-subscriber traffic patterns and verify that local switching is functioning, reducing backhaul congestion. This metric was introduced in EDA 2.2 Service Pack 3 and later.
