What is tslpDsPppDiscoveryPkts?
This counter tracks the total number of PPP discovery packets that are received from the network side and delivered to subscribers on a specific DSL PVC (permanent virtual circuit). PPP discovery is used during link negotiation and session establishment in PPP-based DSL connections. An operator would use this to verify that PPP protocol initialization is occurring and to detect potential session setup issues.
