pdnUltIndex

Module: PDN-UPLINK-TAGGING-MIB

OID (symbolic): PDN-UPLINK-TAGGING-MIB::pdnUltIndex

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1795.2.24.2.37.3.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-write

Description: This object represents VLAN tag index which is an index into a block of VLAN Tags the unit will use. Generally, this can be also thought of as the chassis/unit number in the case where multiple units are interconnected and form a ULT Domain described above.

It is strongly encouraged that the upper limit for a particular implementation be clearly documented in the product's SNMP Op Spec.

What is pdnUltIndex?

This read-write Unsigned32 (1 and up), defaulting to 1, represents the VLAN tag index into a block of Uplink Tagging VLAN IDs the unit uses, conceptually equivalent to a chassis/unit number when multiple DSLAMs are interconnected into a ULT Domain. An admin assigns each unit in a stack a unique pdnUltIndex so its subscriber VLANs land in the correct sub-range of the shared VLAN ID block. Setting pdnUltIndex to 3 on the third unit in a five-unit ULT Domain stack ensures its subscriber ports get VLAN tags from that unit's designated slice of the shared block.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1795.2.24.2.37.3.1
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> PDN-UPLINK-TAGGING-MIB::pdnUltIndex

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1795.2.24.2.37.3.1.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> PDN-UPLINK-TAGGING-MIB::pdnUltIndex.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1795.2.24.2.37.3.1.1 i <value>
