Description: Configures whether or not the local PPP entity will attempt to negotiate the IEEE-802-Tagged Frame option. An enabled(1) will result in the option being supported. A disabled(2) will result in the options not being supported.

What is pdnPppBridgeMediaIeee802Tagged?

This configures whether the local PPP entity will attempt to negotiate support for the IEEE-802-Tagged Frame option (per RFC 3518) when establishing a bridged PPP link, determining whether VLAN tags will be preserved across that link. Administrators set this to enabled when they need VLAN-tagged traffic to pass intact across a PPP bridge connection, such as when extending a tagged VLAN over a WAN. Setting this object to disabled would mean the device won't offer to negotiate tagged-frame support, so any VLAN tags on bridged frames could be stripped.
