pdnEntPhySensorExtLowerThreshold

Module: PDN-ENTITY-SENSOR-EXT-MIB

OID (symbolic): PDN-ENTITY-SENSOR-EXT-MIB::pdnEntPhySensorExtLowerThreshold

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1795.2.24.2.45.1.1.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: EntitySensorValue

Access: read-write

Description: This object sets the lower limit of a sensor's threshold. When the value of entPhySensorValue becomes less than the value of this object, a 'Lower Threshold Exceeded' state is entered.

What is pdnEntPhySensorExtLowerThreshold?

This sets the lower limit value that, when the corresponding sensor's reading drops below it, causes the sensor to enter a "Lower Threshold Exceeded" state. Administrators configure this to catch abnormally low readings, such as a voltage sensor dropping too far below its expected level, which can indicate a failing power component. Setting this to 4.5 on a voltage sensor measured in volts means any reading below 4.5 volts would trigger the lower-threshold condition.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1795.2.24.2.45.1.1.1.3
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> PDN-ENTITY-SENSOR-EXT-MIB::pdnEntPhySensorExtLowerThreshold

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1795.2.24.2.45.1.1.1.3.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> PDN-ENTITY-SENSOR-EXT-MIB::pdnEntPhySensorExtLowerThreshold.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1795.2.24.2.45.1.1.1.3.1 s <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> pdnEntPhySensorExtLowerThreshold.1
