Module: PDN-DNS-MIB
OID (symbolic): PDN-DNS-MIB::devDNSServerType
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1795.2.24.2.17.1.4.1.2
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: DNSServerType
Access: read-write
Description: This Objects allows an NMS to specify whether the Server IP address is the primary DNS server or the secondary DNS server. Only One Primary DNS server is allowed to be configured.
What is devDNSServerType?
This object specifies whether a given configured DNS server IP address is the primary or secondary server, noting that only one primary DNS server is allowed to be configured at a time. Admins use this to designate a preferred DNS server that's tried first, with a secondary used as fallback if the primary is unreachable. Setting devDNSServerType to primary for one server entry and secondary for another establishes a preferred-and-fallback DNS resolution order.
