devDs1FracNumber

Module: PDN-CROSSCONNECT-MIB

OID (symbolic): PDN-CROSSCONNECT-MIB::devDs1FracNumber

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1795.2.24.2.6.7.1.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: The channel number associated with the interface identified by devDs1FracIndex for this entry. If devDs1FracIfIndex indicates that the channel assignment is to a synchronous data port or to a voice port, then the interpretation of this object's meaning is dependent on the value of the allocation method, devSyncDataPortConfigAllocMethod, for the data port. If the allocation method is block, or ACAMI, then this object specifies the starting DS0 channel for the assignment. The number of channels assigned is dependent on the value of devSyncDataPortConfigRate. If the allocation method is channel, then this object specifies the individual DS0 channel to be allocated to the data port.

What is devDs1FracNumber?

This read-only value, 1-31, is the DS0 channel number within the DS1 interface identified by devDs1FracIndex; its exact interpretation (starting channel of a block versus an individual channel) depends on the data port's configured allocation method when the channel is assigned to a synchronous data or voice port. Admins use it to identify exactly which timeslot(s) within a DS1 span a given channel assignment row covers. For example, a value of 5 with a block allocation method tells an admin the assignment starts at DS0 channel 5 and spans additional channels per the configured data rate.
