devCrossConClear

Module: PDN-CROSSCONNECT-MIB

OID (symbolic): PDN-CROSSCONNECT-MIB::devCrossConClear

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1795.2.24.2.6.7.4.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: This object is used to delete all the entries in the Cross Connect table where bulk deletion is needed. This field can only be set to 'clear'. While the management entity within the agent deletes all the cross connects , this field will read 'inprogress'.When the 'clear' operation has completed , or no operation is being performed at all the default state will be 'idle'.

What is devCrossConClear?

This read-write value bulk-deletes all entries in the Cross Connect table when set to clear(3); it reads back inprogress(2) while the deletion is underway and idle(1) once complete or when no operation is running, and it can only be set to clear (never directly to idle or inprogress). Admins use it to wipe the entire cross-connect configuration at once rather than deleting entries individually, useful when reconfiguring a device from scratch. An admin decommissioning all existing DS0 cross-connects before a fresh provisioning pass would set this to clear(3), then poll it until it returns to idle(1) to confirm the bulk deletion finished.
