pcapCount

Module: PCAP-MIB

OID (symbolic): PCAP-MIB::pcapCount

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.12325.1.1112.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-only

Description: The number network monitors.

What is pcapCount?

This read-only counter reports the total number of packet-capture ("network monitor") sessions currently defined on the device. Admins check it to see how many pcap-style capture instances are active before querying the pcapTable for details on each one. For example, pcapCount returning 3 tells the admin there are three concurrent capture sessions to look up by index in the pcapTable.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.12325.1.1112.1
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> PCAP-MIB::pcapCount

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.12325.1.1112.1.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> PCAP-MIB::pcapCount.1
