mdmStartTimeslot

Module: PANDATEL-FHFLF-MODEM-MIB

OID (symbolic): PANDATEL-FHFLF-MODEM-MIB::mdmStartTimeslot

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.760.1.1.2.1.10.102.1.1.26

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: This entry determines the start time slot for framing. Start time slot and data rate must match. A start time slot which is too high will be ignored. The remote unit's configuration changes simultaneously.

What is mdmStartTimeslot?

This read-write enumerated value sets which E1/T1 time slot framing begins at, from timeslot-1 through timeslot-31, unframed, or not-available, for this modem's interface. Admins must pick a start time slot consistent with the configured data rate, since a value that's too high for the current rate is simply ignored, and changing it also updates the remote unit's configuration to match. For example, on a T1 line running at 1.544 Mbps the modem auto-sets mdmStartTimeslot to unframed, so an admin manually picking timeslot-5 there would have the change rejected as inconsistent.
