mdmDataRate

Module: PANDATEL-FHFLF-MODEM-MIB

OID (symbolic): PANDATEL-FHFLF-MODEM-MIB::mdmDataRate

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.760.1.1.2.1.10.102.1.1.25

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: The data rate at the interface in bits per seconds. The data rate at the remote counterpart changes simultaneously. A data rate of 2.048 Mbps (E1) automatically disables CRC4, sets mdmStartTimeslot to 'unframed', enables time slot 16. A data rate of 1.984 Mbps (E1) automatically sets mdmStartTimeslot to 'timeslot-1', enables time slot 16. A data rate of 1.544 Mbps (T1) automatically sets mdmStartTimeslot to 'unframed'.

What is mdmDataRate?

This read-write value configures the interface's line data rate in bits per second, and automatically changing it also updates related framing settings such as mdmStartTimeslot, CRC4 generation, and time slot 16 on both ends of the link. Admins set this to match the required E1, 2.048 Mbps, or T1-derived rate, 1.984 or 1.544 Mbps, for the circuit, and must be aware the change cascades to the remote modem and to dependent framing parameters automatically. For example, setting mdmDataRate to 2.048 Mbps automatically disables CRC4 generation, sets the start time slot to unframed, and enables time slot 16, so the admin doesn't need to configure those separately.
