Module: OpenROUTE-MIB

OID (symbolic): OpenROUTE-MIB::proActionReset

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1.1.5.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: This object, when read, returns a value of zero. A set of this object causes the router to be reset. The value represents the delay (in seconds) before the reset will take affect.

What is proActionReset?

Reading this always returns zero, but writing a value to it triggers a full reset of the Proteon router, with the number written treated as the delay in seconds before the reset actually happens. Admins use it to schedule a remote reboot without cutting the SNMP session immediately, e.g. writing 30 to give management traffic time to finish before the box reloads.
