Description: Subnets subsumed by ranges either trigger the advertisement of the indicated aggregate (advertiseMatching), or result in the subnet's not being advertised at all outside the area.
What is ospfMtAreaAggregateEffect?
This read-create object controls whether subnets subsumed by an OSPF area address range are advertised as the aggregate route or suppressed entirely outside the area. An admin sets it to advertiseMatching to summarize matching subnets into one aggregate advertisement, or to doNotAdvertiseMatching to hide them from other areas altogether, reducing routing-table size. For example, setting this to doNotAdvertiseMatching for a range covering internal lab subnets would keep those subnets invisible to other OSPF areas.
