Description:
What is etherStatsOutDropEvents?
Part of the extended per-port statistics table; DESCRIPTION is blank in the vendor source, but by name this is the transmit-side counterpart to the standard etherStatsDropEvents, counting the number of times outbound packets were dropped on this port due to lack of resources. A climbing count suggests egress buffer congestion on the port rather than an inbound wire-side problem.
