scfSystemActualPowerMinPollingInterval

Module: OPL-SP-MIB

OID (symbolic): OPL-SP-MIB::scfSystemActualPowerMinPollingInterval

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.211.1.15.3.1.1.4.10.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-only

Description: Minimum interval time in seconds between updates of scfSystemActualPowerConsumptionValue. It is strongly recommended to get object scfSystemActualPowerConsumptionValue with intervals longer than this value. It is meaningless to get value at smaller intervals, because, internally, scfSystemActualPowerConsumptionValue will not be updated. When this feature is not supported, maximum value of INTEGER type is set as interval value.

What is scfSystemActualPowerMinPollingInterval?

Reports the minimum useful interval, in seconds, between reads of scfSystemActualPowerConsumptionValue; the underlying value isn't updated internally any faster than this, so polling more often than this is wasted, and an unsupported feature reports the maximum INTEGER value here. An admin sets their SNMP polling interval for power consumption to at least this value to avoid pointless repeated reads of a stale number.
