OID (symbolic): OPENBSD-PF-MIB::pfTimeoutTcpFirst

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.30155.1.7.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

What is pfTimeoutTcpFirst?

The configured timeout (in seconds) applied to a TCP state right after the first packet of a new connection is seen, before any response arrives. Lowering it makes pf reclaim half-open connection states faster, which is useful for mitigating SYN-flood-style resource exhaustion.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.30155.1.7.1
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> OPENBSD-PF-MIB::pfTimeoutTcpFirst

Get a specific instance (index 1):
