Module: OPENBSD-PF-MIB

OID (symbolic): OPENBSD-PF-MIB::pfTimeoutAdaptiveEnd

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.30155.1.7.18

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Description: When reaching this number of state entries, all timeout values become zero, effectively purging all state entries immediately.

What is pfTimeoutAdaptiveEnd?

The state-table entry count at which pf's adaptive timeout scaling reaches zero, effectively expiring all states immediately to protect the firewall from running out of memory. This acts as a last-resort safety valve during a connection flood or state-table exhaustion event.
