pfCntSrcLimit

Module: OPENBSD-PF-MIB

OID (symbolic): OPENBSD-PF-MIB::pfCntSrcLimit

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.30155.1.2.14

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Counter64

Access: read-only

Description: The number of packets that were dropped due to stateful connection tracking. A packet could be dropped due to resource limits (memory) or due to a tracking limit being reached.

What is pfCntSrcLimit?

Counts packets dropped due to stateful source-tracking limits, either because pf ran out of memory for tracking table entries or because a per-source connection-tracking limit was reached. Useful for spotting when 'sticky-address' or 'source-track' rules are actively throttling a busy or abusive source host.
