Module: OPENBSD-PF-MIB

OID (symbolic): OPENBSD-PF-MIB::pfCntIpOption

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.30155.1.2.9

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Counter64

Access: read-only

Description: The number of packets that were dropped due to having options set in the IP header.

What is pfCntIpOption?

Counts packets dropped because they carried options set in the IP header, which pf commonly blocks by default as a security precaution (e.g., source-routing options). A steady rate here is normal background noise from scanners or misconfigured hosts.
