What Is OPCD-USSDB-MIB-V2?

OPCD-USSDB-MIB-V2 is an OpenCode Systems (opcd) vendor MIB for monitoring their USSD Browser/database (USSDB) component used in VoIP/IVR and mobile-signaling application platforms. Its objects center on fault/alarm reporting, carrying a hostname of the node that raised an issue, a severity level, and a descriptive text, layered on top of the ocussdbrowser and ocussdbrowser-traps object groups defined for this component. This makes it primarily a fault-and-status MIB: it supports monitoring the software health of the USSD broker/database process, surfacing named-node fault conditions and severities that indicate the USSD service (e.g. transaction processing or database connectivity) has degraded, rather than exposing raw hardware sensors. It relies on OpenCode's broader trap/notification conventions (mcr- prefixed common trap variables) shared across their product's MIB family. It is deployed on OpenCode's VoIP/IVR/USSD signaling platforms in mobile network operator environments where USSD self-care or value-added-service applications run. Engineers can download the OPCD-USSDB-MIB-V2 file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in OPCD-USSDB-MIB-V2. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

What Can Be Monitored

  • fault hostname
  • fault severity level
  • fault description text

Supported Devices

  • OpenCode Systems USSD Browser/VoIP-IVR platform nodes

Monitoring Examples

When a fault occurs in the USSD browser/database component, this MIB's trap carries mcr-Host (the hostname of the faulting node), mcr-Severity, and mcr-Text describing the issue, generated under the ocussdbrowser-traps group. An admin monitoring these traps would see, for example, a high-severity mcr-Severity value paired with mcr-Text describing a database connection failure, indicating the USSD broker on that host needs attention.
