What Is OLD-CISCO-APPLETALK-MIB?
OLD-CISCO-APPLETALK-MIB is a legacy Cisco Systems proprietary MIB (predating the standard APPLETALK-MIB) reporting AppleTalk protocol packet-flow counters on Cisco routers. Its objects cover total input/output/local/forwarded/broadcast-in/broadcast-out counts, checksum errors, not-gateway/hop-count/no-access/no-route/no-encapsulation drops, inbound multicast, RTMP inbound/outbound, NBP inbound/outbound, ATP, ZIP inbound/outbound, echo, illegal-echo, and short/long DDP packet counts. As a performance MIB it lets an administrator watch AppleTalk protocol traffic volume and error/drop counters on a legacy Cisco router configured for AppleTalk routing. It is deployed on legacy Cisco Systems routers running AppleTalk. Engineers can download the OLD-CISCO-APPLETALK-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in OLD-CISCO-APPLETALK-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Legacy Cisco Systems routers (AppleTalk routing)
Monitoring Examples
An administrator checks atNoroute and atNoaccess to diagnose AppleTalk routing drops on a legacy Cisco router.
What Can Be Monitored
- AppleTalk protocol traffic and error/drop counters
