mscTdmaCsDscLl0BufferSize

Module: Nortel-MsCarrier-MscPassport-TdmaIwfMIB

OID (symbolic): Nortel-MsCarrier-MscPassport-TdmaIwfMIB::mscTdmaCsDscLl0BufferSize

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.562.36.2.1.135.5.10.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-write

Description: This attribute specifies the maximum size of the DSC logical link 0 control buffer. Changes impact the amount of memory used (more memory is used when increasing the attribute). The gain in performance obtained from the selection of a larger buffer size may be offset by less memory being available. The customer might wish to increase the buffer size when a degradation in throughput of the system is seen.

What is mscTdmaCsDscLl0BufferSize?

An obsolete, read-write attribute (80-65535, default 80) specifying the maximum size of the DSC logical link 0 control buffer; increasing it uses more device memory but can improve throughput. Since STATUS is obsolete, admins should treat this as a legacy tuning knob retained for backward compatibility rather than one to actively rely on in new deployments -- a customer would historically have raised it if seeing throughput degradation on logical link 0.
