Description: This attribute indicates the current value of parameter N401 for V.42 which is negotiated during Exchange Information (XID). This is the maximum number of octets that can be carried in the information field of an information frame that the IWF V.42 transmits to the PSTN modem. The IWF V.42 puts this or even smaller size of data into the outgoing information frame. The value used for XID negotiations can be provisioned via TdmaCs/* V42.

What is mscTdmaBcV42TxN401FrameSize?

Reports the currently negotiated N401 parameter value (0-65355; the practical XID-negotiated range is far smaller, in line with the sibling RxN401's 1-255 bound) -- the maximum octets the IWF's V.42 layer will put in the information field of an outgoing frame to the PSTN modem for this active call. This is the operational counterpart to the provisioned mscTdmaCsV42TxN401FrameSize setting, showing admins the actual value in effect for this call.
