Description: This attribute indicates the protocol state of the fax adaptor. This attribute has one of the following values: setup: Call setup state. idle: Idle state only transmitting Synchronize (SYNC) frames. bcsRx: Receiving Binary Coded Signal (BCS) packet from modem. bcsTx: Transmitting BCS packet to modem. msgRx: Receiving fax message from modem. msgTx: Transmitting fax message to modem.

What is mscTdmaBcFaxProtocolState?

Reports the fax adaptor's current protocol state: setup (call being established), idle (only transmitting SYNC frames), bcsRx/bcsTx (receiving/transmitting Binary Coded Signal control packets), or msgRx/msgTx (receiving/transmitting the actual fax message). Admins use this to see exactly where a fax call is in its T.30 protocol lifecycle, useful for diagnosing a fax call stuck in BCS negotiation rather than progressing to actual message transfer.
