mscVrSresRouteTableNumEntries

Module: Nortel-MsCarrier-MscPassport-SourceRouteEndStationMIB

OID (symbolic): Nortel-MsCarrier-MscPassport-SourceRouteEndStationMIB::mscVrSresRouteTableNumEntries

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.562.36.2.1.100.13.11.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-write

Description: This attribute identifies the maximum number of entries in the SourceRouteEndStation routing table. Before you change it, check the network configuration to see how many protocol ports, such as IpPort or IpxPort, under Vr Pp have endStationSupport set to enable. The value of routeTableNumEntries also depends on the VirtualRouter attribute sresMaxHeapSpace.

Consider the following attributes of the SourceRouteEndStation component when adjusting this number: - rtEntriesUsed - rtEntriesFree - rtEntriesDenied

What is mscVrSresRouteTableNumEntries?

A read-write value (0-65535, default 5000) setting the maximum number of entries allowed in the SourceRouteEndStation routing table; an admin raises this if rtEntriesDenied is climbing, but must first check how many protocol ports have end-station support enabled and consider the router's sresMaxHeapSpace limit.
