mscLpEngFrsCurrentCalls

Module: Nortel-MsCarrier-MscPassport-FrameRelayEngMIB

OID (symbolic): Nortel-MsCarrier-MscPassport-FrameRelayEngMIB::mscLpEngFrsCurrentCalls

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.562.36.2.1.12.23.3.10.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Gauge32

Access: read-only

Description: This attribute counts the total number of Frame Relay calls (initially just FrUni and FrNni) which are 'current'. Note that 'current' doesn't necessarily mean that the call is in data transfer. It minimally means that such a call can subsequently generate accounting records.

What is mscLpEngFrsCurrentCalls?

This read-only Gauge32 counts the total number of Frame Relay calls -- initially just FrUni and FrNni -- that are currently 'current' on this LP, meaning able to generate accounting records even if not actively transferring data. It is the live counter an operator watches to see real-time Frame Relay call load relative to the mscLpEngFrsMaxCalls ceiling. An admin investigating call rejections would check this gauge and see it sitting at or near the maxCalls value, confirming the LP is at capacity.

Examples

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> Nortel-MsCarrier-MscPassport-FrameRelayEngMIB::mscLpEngFrsCurrentCalls

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.562.36.2.1.12.23.3.10.1.3.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> Nortel-MsCarrier-MscPassport-FrameRelayEngMIB::mscLpEngFrsCurrentCalls.1

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> mscLpEngFrsCurrentCalls.1
