mscFrDteLeqMemThresholdExceeded

Module: Nortel-MsCarrier-MscPassport-FrameRelayDteMIB

OID (symbolic): Nortel-MsCarrier-MscPassport-FrameRelayDteMIB::mscFrDteLeqMemThresholdExceeded

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.562.36.2.1.101.7.14.1.7

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Counter32

Access: read-only

Description: This attribute counts the number of packets discarded due to exceeding the memory usage threshold for Leq. The memory usage threshold is determined by the Leq software, guaranteeing that the Leq does not consume all of the memory. This counter will wrap around to 0 when it exceeds its maximum count.

What is mscFrDteLeqMemThresholdExceeded?

This read-only Counter32 counts packets discarded from the Leq hibernation queue because the Leq software's overall memory-usage ceiling was hit, a safeguard that stops any single queue from consuming all of the Passport's memory. This is a system-wide resource-pressure signal rather than a per-DLCI congestion one, so an admin seeing it climb should check whether many DLCIs/queues across the shelf are contending for memory at once, not just this one circuit's provisioning.
