mscFrDteLeqMaxPackets

Module: Nortel-MsCarrier-MscPassport-FrameRelayDteMIB

OID (symbolic): Nortel-MsCarrier-MscPassport-FrameRelayDteMIB::mscFrDteLeqMaxPackets

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.562.36.2.1.101.7.10.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-write

Description: This attribute specifies the maximum number of packets allowed in the Leq before being discarded. If this attribute is set to zero then the maximum number of packets is calculated from the transmit data rate. This calculated value is placed in queuePktThreshold.

What is mscFrDteLeqMaxPackets?

This read-write value caps how many packets can sit in the Leq hibernation queue before further packets are discarded; leaving it at its default of 0 tells the Passport to calculate the limit automatically from the DLCI's transmit data rate instead (the result lands in the read-only queuePktThreshold attribute). An admin raises this on a congestion-prone DLCI that needs to tolerate longer bursts, at the cost of extra queuing latency for that circuit's traffic.
