trkSpeedReportingHoldOff

Module: Nortel-Magellan-Passport-TrunksMIB

OID (symbolic): Nortel-Magellan-Passport-TrunksMIB::trkSpeedReportingHoldOff

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.562.2.4.1.60.109.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-write

Description: This attribute specifies the hold off time for reporting speed increases. When the measuredSpeedToIf reaches a level specified by the speedReportingThresholds attribute, the value specifies the duration (in units of seconds) for which the measuredSpeedToIf must maintain that level before it will be reported.

What is trkSpeedReportingHoldOff?

This read-write value, in seconds (1-1200, default 30), is how long a speed increase on trkMeasuredSpeedToIf must be sustained at a given threshold level before the Trunk reports it upward, avoiding noisy reporting of brief speed blips. An admin raises this to further dampen reporting on a link whose measured speed fluctuates frequently but briefly.
