trkOverrideTransmitSpeed

Module: Nortel-Magellan-Passport-TrunksMIB

OID (symbolic): Nortel-Magellan-Passport-TrunksMIB::trkOverrideTransmitSpeed

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.562.2.4.1.60.102.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Gauge32

Access: read-write

Description: This is the overridden value of link speed (bit/s) that, if staged successfully with the remote, is reported to the routing system for metric calculations. A zero indicates that an override value has not been provided and that only the measured value will be reported to the routing system. If this value is changed on a Trunk or DpnGateway that is enabled, the LOCK and UNLOCK commands must be issued to the component to restage the override with the remote.

What is trkOverrideTransmitSpeed?

This read-write value, in bits per second, lets an admin manually override the link speed reported to the routing system for metric calculations instead of relying on the measured value; zero (the default) means no override is applied. An admin sets this on a link whose true usable capacity differs from what's automatically measured, and must LOCK/UNLOCK the component afterward for the new value to actually restage with the remote.
