trkMaximumExpectedRoundTripDelay

Module: Nortel-Magellan-Passport-TrunksMIB

OID (symbolic): Nortel-Magellan-Passport-TrunksMIB::trkMaximumExpectedRoundTripDelay

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.562.2.4.1.60.101.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-write

Description: This is the maximum round trip delay value used by the Trunk staging protocol, in conjunction with measuredSpeedToIf, to determine if it has taken too long to successfully stage with a remote Trunk. The value specified must be larger than the measuredRoundTripDelay or the Trunk may not successfully stage.

What is trkMaximumExpectedRoundTripDelay?

This read-write value, in milliseconds (1-1500, default 1500), is the maximum round-trip delay the Trunk staging protocol will tolerate, used with trkMeasuredSpeedToIf to decide if staging with the remote is taking too long. An admin raises this on a trunk that legitimately runs over a high-latency path (such as a long-haul or satellite link) so staging doesn't fail purely because of distance.
