OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.562.2.4.1.60.107.1.10

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Counter32

Access: read-only

Description: This attribute counts the number of internal trunk protocol packets (including those through the interrupting queue) that have been discarded before being transmitted to the remote module. This counter wraps around to zero when the maximum value is exceeded. The main reason that causes this counter to increment is that the trunk can not get sufficient resources to create an internal trunk protocol packet.

What is trkDiscardTrunkPktToIf?

This counter tracks internal trunk protocol packets (including those through the interrupting queue) that were discarded before they could even be transmitted to the remote module, most often because the trunk couldn't get sufficient resources to build the packet. An admin uses a rising count here to spot a resource-starved trunk rather than a link or remote-side problem.
