This attribute indicates the total number of Path Code Violations (PCVs) detected. Each PCV corresponds to a P-bit parity error, or possibly a frame error or a disagreement between P-bits or X-bits. PCV counting is inhibited over second intervals where a Path Severely Errored Second (PSES) is counted. Counting of PCVs is also inhibited over second intervals where a Path Unavailable Second (PUAS) is counted. This attribute is a non-negative integer which monotonically increases until it reaches a maximum value, at which point it wraps around and starts increasing again from zero.
