Description: This attribute specifies the total number of bytes of traced data which may be queued for transmission to the trace receiver. When this limit is exceeded, incoming traced frames are discarded. This attribute can be set while a trace is active and takes effect immediately.

What is frUniTraceQueueLimit?

This attribute sets the total bytes of traced data that may be queued for transmission to the trace receiver, defaulting to 20, with incoming frames discarded once the limit is exceeded; unlike duration, this can be changed while a trace is active and takes effect immediately. Admins raise this value when high-volume traffic is causing traced frames to be dropped before reaching the receiver. For example, an admin noticing gaps in captured trace data during a busy period could increase frUniTraceQueueLimit above the default 20 to reduce frame discards.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.562.2.4.1.71.7.10.1.4
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> Nortel-Magellan-Passport-FrameRelayUniTraceMIB::frUniTraceQueueLimit

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.562.2.4.1.71.7.10.1.4.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> Nortel-Magellan-Passport-FrameRelayUniTraceMIB::frUniTraceQueueLimit.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.562.2.4.1.71.7.10.1.4.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> frUniTraceQueueLimit.1
