frNniTraceFilterTracedLength

Module: Nortel-Magellan-Passport-FrameRelayNniTraceMIB

OID (symbolic): Nortel-Magellan-Passport-FrameRelayNniTraceMIB::frNniTraceFilterTracedLength

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.562.2.4.1.70.7.2.10.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-write

Description: This attribute specifies the maximum number of bytes to trace per frame starting from the byte following the frame flag. If the frame length is longer than the value specified by this attribute, then the traced frame is truncated. This attribute can be set while a trace is active and takes effect immediately.

What is frNniTraceFilterTracedLength?

This read-write value, from 1 to 2000 and defaulting to 2000, specifies the maximum number of bytes to trace per frame starting after the frame flag, truncating longer frames, and it can be changed live during an active trace. Admins lower this to reduce the volume of captured trace data per frame when only header information is needed. For example, setting it to 64 captures just the first 64 bytes of each traced frame, truncating the rest.
