atmIfPnniSigVcdTrafficDescType

Module: Nortel-Magellan-Passport-AtmPnniMIB

OID (symbolic): Nortel-Magellan-Passport-AtmPnniMIB::atmIfPnniSigVcdTrafficDescType

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.562.2.4.1.114.96.2.2.10.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Description: This attribute specifies the type of traffic management which is applied to both the transmit and receive direction of this connection as defined in the ATM Forum. The trafficDescType determines the number and meaning of the parameters in the trafficDescParm attribute.

What is atmIfPnniSigVcdTrafficDescType?

This selects which ATM Forum traffic-descriptor type (one of a small fixed set of numbered types) governs both directions of the default connection template under this PNNI interface's signalling channel, which in turn determines how many and which parameters the paired traffic-descriptor-parameter attribute holds. Admins set this to match the traffic contract they intend new connections on this channel to use.
