nwtControlRisingThreshold

Module: NetWare-Server-Trend-MIB

OID (symbolic): NetWare-Server-Trend-MIB::nwtControlRisingThreshold

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.23.2.26.1.1.1.11

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: A threshold for the sampled variable. When the current sampled value is greater than or equal to this threshold, and the value at the last sampling interval was less than this threshold, and the value of nwtControlThresholdType is 'risingAlarm', a single trap will be generated.

After a a trap is generated, another such trap will not

be generated until the sampled value falls below this threshold and reaches the nwtControlFallingThreshold.

What is nwtControlRisingThreshold?

The threshold that, when the sampled value rises to meet or exceed it (from below) while nwtControlThresholdType is risingAlarm, triggers a single trap; another trap won't fire again until the value first drops to nwtControlFallingThreshold. An admin would set this on, e.g., pctCpuUtilization to be alerted the first time CPU load spikes above a concerning level.
