ntpDelayI

Module: NTP-MIB

OID (symbolic): NTP-MIB::ntpDelayI

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.4.50.1.1.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: Total delay between peers. (Integral portion)

What is ntpDelayI?

This object reports the integer portion of the total round-trip delay measured between this device and the NTP peer in this row. NTP splits delay into an integer and fractional part for precision, and admins combine ntpDelayI with ntpDelayF to get the full delay value used in the clock synchronization algorithm. A large ntpDelayI value would indicate a peer reached over a slow or congested network path, reducing the achievable time accuracy from that source.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.4.50.1.1.5
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> NTP-MIB::ntpDelayI

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.4.50.1.1.5.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> NTP-MIB::ntpDelayI.1
