Description: The value assigned to a port which designates the ethernet packet type.
What is ifCfgPortBkBoneEthType?
This read-write setting selects the Ethernet packet type used for backbone VLAN tagging on a port: ethtype8100 (standard 802.1Q) or ethtype9100 (an alternate/legacy tag type). An admin changes this only when the upstream backbone equipment requires the non-standard 9100 EtherType for VLAN tags to be recognized.
