What is mtaStoredVolume?

This gauge reports, in kilo-octets, the total volume of messages currently held in storage by the mail transfer agent. An admin watches this alongside mtaStoredMessages to understand whether a growing queue is made up of many small messages or a few very large ones, which affects how urgently disk space needs attention. For example, a jump to 800,000 kilo-octets stored could mean large attachments are stuck in the queue.
