Description: Temperature in celcius at which the profiled bias current was taken. This value is used with the bias current to determine the life of the laser.

What is nscHippiSonetBiasTemp?

This read-only INTEGER gives the temperature in Celsius at which the profiled baseline bias current (nscHippiSonetBiasCurrent) was originally measured. An admin uses this alongside the current temperature and bias reading to make an apples-to-apples comparison when judging laser aging, since bias current is temperature-dependent.
