Description: Integer representation of the floating value for the baseline current of the transmit laser in milliamps. This value is used by the machine to determine the life of the laser.

What is nscHippiSonetBiasCurrent?

This read-only INTEGER gives the baseline transmit-laser bias current in milliamps, recorded when the laser was new, and used by the device to estimate the laser's remaining service life. An admin compares the laser's current bias reading against this profiled baseline to judge how much the laser has aged.
