What Is NSC-HIPPI-SWITCH-FIELD-MIB?
NSC-HIPPI-SWITCH-FIELD-MIB is a Network Systems Corporation proprietary MIB (enterprise OID 10) managing a HIPPI (High-Performance Parallel Interface, a legacy supercomputer-interconnect standard) crossbar switch. Its objects cover per-port BIST (Built-In Self-Test) trigger and result, clear-all/clear-errors/clear-path/clear-stats actions (globally, per-port, or for a specific destination), disable-port actions, and several display-config tables (DC, DSA, DSI) presenting formatted status-line text for craft-interface-style reporting. As a diagnostic/hardware-control MIB it lets an administrator trigger a BIST on a specific HIPPI port and clear error/path state remotely. It is deployed on Network Systems Corporation HIPPI crossbar switches. Engineers can download the NSC-HIPPI-SWITCH-FIELD-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
