What is systemSyslogMaxSize?

This sets the maximum size of the local syslog file, constrained to a range of 1 to 500 (units implied to be an internal size measure such as megabytes or a similar consistent unit used by this device's logging subsystem). An admin tunes this to balance how much log history is retained locally against the device's storage capacity, working together with systemSyslogRotateNum to manage log rotation. For example, an admin might set this to 50 to cap the local log file at that size before rotation occurs.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5504.2.5.11.1.15
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> NPSYSTEM::systemSyslogMaxSize

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5504.2.5.11.1.15.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> NPSYSTEM::systemSyslogMaxSize.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5504.2.5.11.1.15.1 i <value>
