alLogFullAction

Module: NOKIA-COMMON-ALARM-REPORTING-MIB

OID (symbolic): NOKIA-COMMON-ALARM-REPORTING-MIB::alLogFullAction

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.94.1.16.1.3.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: This variable control the behaviour of the log when the log shall become full. Possible values are wrap (1) and halt (2). The default value shall be wrap. Note that this variable does not affect to the behaviour of trap ids used in alarm traps. I.e. when log is in halt mode, trap ids are incremented by 1 in each trap emitted by the NE.

What is alLogFullAction?

Controls whether the Alarm Log wraps (overwriting the oldest entries, the default) or halts logging entirely once it reaches alAlarmLogMaxSize; note that caTrapId numbering keeps incrementing regardless of this setting. An admin sets this to halt(2) in environments where losing old alarm history silently is worse than stopping new log entries.

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> NOKIA-COMMON-ALARM-REPORTING-MIB::alLogFullAction

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.94.1.16.1.3.1.3.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> NOKIA-COMMON-ALARM-REPORTING-MIB::alLogFullAction.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.94.1.16.1.3.1.3.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> alLogFullAction.1
