Description: Indicates the software bank which will be active when the card resets. The default value of NotApplicable(0) indicates the entity without software banks. On the other hand, if there is a failure to obtain this information, Unknown(257) is returned. For example, if a card is configured but not installed, Unknown(257) is returned.

What is nncNEInvAssemblyNextActiveSwBank?

This read-only value reports which software bank will become active the next time this assembly resets; a default value of NotApplicable(0) means the entity has no software banks, while Unknown(257) is returned if this information can't be obtained, such as for a configured-but-not-installed card. Admins use it to confirm which software image a card will boot into on its next reset, which is essential to verify before intentionally resetting a card after a software upgrade. For example, after staging a new software load into a spare bank, an admin would check this object to confirm the next-active bank has been correctly switched to that new load before triggering the actual reset.
