nncNEInvAssemblyIdentity

Module: NNCEXTNEINVENTORY-MIB

OID (symbolic): NNCEXTNEINVENTORY-MIB::nncNEInvAssemblyIdentity

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.123.3.69.1.1.1.3

Type: DisplayString

Access: read-only

Description: Describes the identity of the assembly. The format is HHHHLLLLRRVV where HHHHLLLL is the card identity. HHHH refers to Card Identifier (High Word), LLLL refers to Card Identifier(Low Word). RR is the major revision and VV is the minor revision. If an entity does not have this number, default value is returned.

What is nncNEInvAssemblyIdentity?

This read-only string, up to 12 characters, reports the assembly's identity in the format HHHHLLLLRRVV, where HHHH and LLLL together form the card identifier (high and low words), RR is the major revision, and VV is the minor revision; an empty string is returned if unavailable. Admins use it to precisely identify the hardware type and revision of a card, which matters for compatibility and firmware requirements. For example, comparing the RRVV revision portion of this identity across multiple cards of the same type helps an admin spot which units are running an older hardware revision.
