What is nmsDeviceOUI?

This object reports the OUI (Organizationally Unique Identifier) portion of the device's MAC address — the vendor-assigned prefix that identifies the manufacturer. It's included in system traps so a management station can quickly identify what kind of device generated a notification just from the OUI bytes, without a separate lookup. A trap from this device might carry an OUI value corresponding to its manufacturer's registered prefix, such as 00:1A:2B, embedded at the start of its MAC address.
