ldPortDefaultExistence

Module: NMS-LOOPBACK-DETECT-MIB

OID (symbolic): NMS-LOOPBACK-DETECT-MIB::ldPortDefaultExistence

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.11606.10.9.252.2.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Configure whether there is loopback under the port.

What is ldPortDefaultExistence?

A read-write boolean, true(1) or false(2), configuring whether a loopback is considered to exist under this port by default. This lets an admin set the baseline assumption for a port's loop state, which the actual detection status then reports against, though the source description doesn't fully spell out how this baseline interacts with live detection. An admin would typically leave this at false(2) for normal ports, only changing it for ports with known unusual wiring configurations.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.11606.10.9.252.2.1.3
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> NMS-LOOPBACK-DETECT-MIB::ldPortDefaultExistence

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.11606.10.9.252.2.1.3.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> NMS-LOOPBACK-DETECT-MIB::ldPortDefaultExistence.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.11606.10.9.252.2.1.3.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> ldPortDefaultExistence.1
